MOUNT TAGS – TERMS OF SERVICE

Effective Date: May 1, 2026

Welcome to Mount Tags. We make it easy to connect your hunting experience to a physical mount using QR-enabled tags.

By activating or using a Mount Tag, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Mount Tags Does

Mount Tags allows you to:

  • Attach a QR code to a trophy or mount 

  • Upload and store details of your hunt (text, photos, videos) 

  • Share that experience digitally when someone scans your tag 

To use the Service, you’ll need to provide some personal information.


2. Your Information (Simple + Transparent)

What we collect

We may collect:

  • Your name 

  • Email address 

  • Optional location or hunt details 

  • Any content you upload (photos, videos, text) 

How we use it

We only use your information to:

  • Activate and manage your Mount Tag 

  • Display your content when the QR code is scanned 

  • Provide support and service updates 

 We do NOT sell your personal data.

 

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is securely stored by:

  • Mount Tags 

  • Trusted technology partners (like cloud providers) 

These partners are only allowed to use your data to help deliver the service—and nothing else.


4. You’re Always in Control (Delete Anytime)

You can request deletion of your data at any time.

When you request deletion:

  • Your personal data will be removed within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 30 days) 

  • Your uploaded content may also be permanently deleted 


5. Acceptable Use (Keep It Respectful + Legal)

You agree NOT to upload or share content that:

  • Is illegal or violates hunting or wildlife laws 

  • Is abusive, hateful, or discriminatory 

  • Contains explicit or offensive material 

  • Infringes on someone else’s rights 

  • Includes other people’s personal information without permission 

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.


6. Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of what you upload 

  • Making sure you have the right to share your content 

  • How your QR tag is used once placed on your mount 


7. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Mount Tags.

If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.


8. Data Protection & Privacy

Mount Tags follows applicable North American privacy laws, including:

  • Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) 

  • Applicable U.S. state privacy laws 

We follow core privacy principles:

  • Only collect what we need 

  • Use it only for the Service 

  • Protect it with appropriate safeguards 

  • Be transparent about how it’s used 


9. Data Security

We use reasonable security measures such as:

  • Encryption (where appropriate) 

  • Access controls 

  • Secure infrastructure 

No system is 100% secure, but we take protection seriously.


10. Indemnification (Plain English Version)

If your use of Mount Tags causes harm to someone else, you agree to take responsibility.

This means you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mount Tags and its partners from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) that arise from:

  • Content you upload 

  • Your misuse of the Service 

  • Your violation of these Terms 

  • Your violation of any laws or third-party rights 


11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law:

  • Mount Tags is not responsible for indirect or unexpected damages 

  • The Service is provided “as is” without guarantees of uninterrupted use 


12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do:

  • We’ll update the effective date 

  • Continued use means you accept the changes
